CRISTINA TUFIÑO

Cristina Tufiño (Puerto Rico, 1982) comenzó en la fotografía para luego dedicarse a la escultura. Utilizando materiales como concreto, gres, cerámica y arcilla, moldea singulares formas en colores “atardecer caribeño” que remiten a objetos primitivos, de carácter etnográfico, mientras que otros recrean ciertas partes del cuerpo humano. Tufiño hace un guiño particular a los artefactos y la estética museológica tanto en sus objetos como en algunas de sus fotografías, reduciendo sus formas a contornos simples y puros con un alto impacto visual.
