El Museo del Barrio presenta la mayor exposición desde 1988 dedicada al artista, activista, educador y fundador de El Museo del Barrio, Raphael Montañez Ortiz. Bajo la curaduría de Rodrigo Moura y Julieta González, la retrospectiva aborda los intereses recurrentes de este pionero del Arte Destructivo, como el colonialismo, la destrucción, la autenticación, la magia y el animismo.

Drawing on indigenous traditions from the Amazon rainforest; alternative perspectives on Western scientific rationalism; and new thinking around plant intelligence, philosophy and cultural theory, the online exhibition »The Botanical Mind» investigates the significance of the plant kingdom to human life, consciousness and spirituality across cultures and through time. It explores ideas of plant sentience, indigenous cosmologies, radical botany, Gaia theory, quantum biology, and the influence of psychoactive plant medicines.

Es todo cierto, que abarca toda su carrera y reúne cerca de 250 obras realizadas en distintos medios: cine y video, pintura, assemblage, dibujo, grabado, collage, tapiz, fotografía, fotograma, arte conceptual y performance.
