Videosphere:a New Generation
Videosphere: A New Generation es la primera exposición de obras en nuevos medios que proceden exclusivamente de la colección de la Albright-Knox Art Gallery (Buffalo, Nueva York). La muestra reúne a 26 artistas internacionales reconocidos, entre ellos el chileno Gianfranco Foschino, con su video La Fenetre (2008)
Los artistas de esta exhibición van desde nuevos talentos hasta pioneros en el campo, incluyendo a Cory Arcangel, Jeremy Blake, Phil Collins, Condon Brody, James Drake, Isaac Julien, Bruce Nauman, João Onofre, Kelly Richardson y Peter Sarkisian. Sus obras se soportan -o combinan- en el video, el cine , la animación por computador y la reutilización y modificación de la vieja tecnología.
Las obras presentadas en esta exposición se refieren a temas sociales, políticos, psicológicos y ambientales, y crean relatos convincentes que sólo se pueden lograr a través de estos variados pero distintos medios.
