BORN IN FLAMES: FEMINIST FUTURES
“Born in Flames” highlights a number of artists referencing non-Western folklore and mythologies to create alternate futures. Their works are representative of how each artist is thinking about futurism––including Afro-, Asian-, Indigenous-, and Latinx-futurism, or something that emerges from those narratives.

ICA, Instituto de Arte Contemporáneo/Boston, presenta «They Live», la muestra más completa hasta la fecha de la artista pakistaní Huma Bhabha (1962). Abarcando más de dos décadas de un incisivo y consecuente trabajo, la exposición, curada por Eva Respini, presenta esculturas, dibujos y fotografías que dan cuenta de su persistente investigación de la figura humana y sus vinculaciones con asuntos socio-político de envergadura mundial.
