PATRICIA DOMÍNGUEZ: GREEN IRISES
Chilean artist Patricia Domínguez explores healing practices emerging from the points where many worlds meet, clash and overlap as a result of colonial encounters. Rooted in the artist’s ongoing investigation of ethnobotany in South America, her first UK solo exhibition invites the viewer to envision possible futures for humans and plants thriving in the cracks of modernity.

La artista chilena Patricia Domínguez explora las prácticas de sanación que surgen de los puntos donde los imaginarios se enfrentan y superponen como resultado de los encuentros coloniales. Arraigada en la continua investigación sobre etnobotánica realizada por la artista en América del Sur, su primera muestra individual en el Reino Unido, que tiene lugar en Gasworks hasta el próximo 8 de septiembre, invita al espectador a imaginar futuros posibles para humanos y plantas que prosperen en las grietas de la modernidad.
