INDECENCIA reúne a una cohorte de artistas rares de América Latina y/o de ascendencia latinoamericana que viven en Estados Unidos, Europa y el Caribe o en espacios/identidades intermedias, cuya praxis se concentra en el arte performativo y las acciones efímeras.

LORENZA BÖTTNER VUELVE A NUEVA YORK

Hoy su figura sigue planteando preguntas: ¿Qué es ser trans, qué es ser migrante y qué es ser discapacitada? Böttner intentó responder estas interrogantes durante los años setenta y ochenta con una vasta creación de imágenes de sí misma, muchas impregnadas de violencia, pero muchas también atravesadas por la ternura y la felicidad.

Art After Stonewall, 1969–1989

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the uprisings, «Art after Stonewall, 1969–1989» is a long-awaited and groundbreaking survey that features over 200 works of art and related visual materials exploring the impact of the LGBTQ liberation movement on visual culture. Presented in two parts—at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art and New York University’s Grey Art Gallery — the exhibition features artworks by openly LGBTQ artists.
